I WAS THERE
The hundreds of N.H. residents who showed up to rally for HCR6 on the Steps of
the State House today, in freezing weather, were SHOCKED ! I WAS THERE
!!!
The people were in full rally. They were courteous chanting, holding up
signs, and listening to speakers. We were then told that we had the right
to go into the building if we wanted to speak to our representatives.
When I got upstairs, I was told there was a caucus going on and that we
could not go in. We all waited and when they let us go into the gallery
to watch the meeting, we did.
I (we) could not believe the results ! The N.H. House of Representatives
managed to look the other way and smugly vote HCR6 down! (HCR 6 is effort to
tell the Feds we’ll handle certain things ourselves here in N.H. For example:
martial law would be N.H.’s choice.) After all those people stood in the
terrible cold, believing they could make a difference... Huh?
I also do not for the life of me understand what that man read about N.H.
giving up our rights to the federal Government but it surly does not fit with
Article 7 of the State Constitution.
Art.] 7. [State Sovereignty.] The
people of this state have the sole and
exclusive right of governing themselves as a free, sovereign, and
independent state; and do, and forever hereafter shall, exercise and enjoy
every power, jurisdiction, and
right, pertaining thereto, which is not, or may not hereafter be, by them
expressly delegated to the United States of America in congress assembled.
Talk about angry ! I speak for many of us that were at the rally and I
say “wait ‘till November !”, the people chanted. Let’s make sure
that those who voted against HCR6 today, ARE OUT IN NOVEMBER 2010
