Left to right new mom, our buck, litter 6.5 weeks , senior doe. These rabbits are really surprising me. I wish I could find the fellow who sold them to me (I think he is from Candia N.H.) They are the best New Zealands I have ever raised. The dams raise their babies without losses and even in the winter. The bunnies reach 2 3/4 # by 9 weeks (average).
these are very fast growing super nest builders and very healthy. So far, my average litter size has been either 7 or 8 babies and one litter of 9. Average age that they are reaching 2# and up is 8 weeks.
